Hey all,

Yes, as usual it's been a while. Work, work and more work, and family mixed in.

I found a used Lowrance GPS on ebay that was in my price range, and I gotta say it's not bad at all. It's a 3600c, and when I get more time I'll be upgrading the firmware to get more detailed maps on it. Interestingly enough, I've found a way to get map data with openstreetmaps.com downloaded, and converted to the Lowrance file format. Just need to make sure to use a SD card that's smaller than 1G apparently.

I'm also getting closer to mounting the Surco rack I've had in my possession for years. I need to pull the headliner to see where the strong points are, and of course so I don't drill through it. The biggest question here will be, what do I seal the feet with on the roof?

The most recent addition is making my wife and daughter very happy, and we'll get to try it out this weekend. It's a 1986 Starcraft StarLite 17; we picked it up pretty cheap. Lifted it about 6 inches, and will probably find some bigger tires for it later on when I get some spare cash again. This has caused me to re-think my gearing (along with the awesome trans job my buddy did for me), so I've ordered 4.56 gears for the rear and will do the front later on.

Lets see if I can add some pictures here...

A couple more pics.

* That's my Uncle in the first pic, who found the trailer for us, and assisted with use of his shop for the lift.

Took the trailer out for a shakedown run at (our local) KOA last weekend.

Everything worked out pretty well, although the beds are a little on the small side. I'm OK with it though, as we'll certainly be able to take this trailer anywhere we want to take the Suburban. Bigger tires are on the list for sure, as well as something to get the hitch a bit quieter.

You should have seen the looks we got at the campground as we were hitching the big Suburban back up to this little trailer. I forget how "big" this Suburban is, until I'm in an area with smaller cars around me :)
