i got grease on the carpet, the girlfriend wants to kill me... resolve does not do it... what do i do???

Mineral spirits might do it, or go to a carpet supply store and get touchdown#9 solvent. If these dont work, then I dont know what to tell ya.

just call a carpet cleaner, they'll get the spot out, and have them shampoo all the carpet while they're there.

The best stuff Ive ever used is called hotshot or hotspot?? avaliable at Wallace Martell (walmart) Blue bottle with orange writing. Friggin amazing stuff for blood and coffee stains anyhow.

dry cleaning fluid, detergent solution (2 cups of cold water & 1/8 teaspoon of mild liquid detergent with no lanolin or bleach), lukewarm tap water, spot remover kit from carpet stores or professional carpet cleaners, or call a pro. try these steps in order

Yeah its call Spot Shot and it is freaking great! Get the arisol kind though!

I use brake and parts cleaner all the time, spray the spot and use a clean rag to rub it out. I got light tan carpet in my house and my GF is finding little spots from me all the time. It works great.

I use Folex, Lowes is the only place i have found it. It has removed the grease from my living room carpet many times!

Regular brake cleaner contains acetone, this will destroy the carpet. If you can find a "chlorinated" brake cleaner - it will list perchloroethylene on the back label. This chemical is safe on carpets and LOVES grease.
