I am going to look at this blazer tomorrow after work. Looks like an absolute steal, depending on the "body rot" he mentions in his ad. He needs to unload it really badly for financial reasons it seems, so I was able to talk him down to $650 before even going to look at it.

Thank god I don't have a wife yet, otherwise she would kill me. Just picked up a "project" motorcycle last week :haha:

Even if it doesn't work out, at least I have full access to the site and can find one through the connections on here:woot:

It sure does seem like a steal. Even if the entire thing is rotted, the parts alone are worth more than that...

$650 for a rotted corpse? I wouldn't pay that much, but then again rust free trucks go for that out here...

I should ad that I can't see that ad so I don't know if there are any extra goodies on that K5 or if it's just a stock rig.

he said it's just a little rot not much. Six inch lift with 35s. Runs well but needs a tune up. Has the 350.

The motor and TBI are worth most of that, you could scrap the rest for $300-500 without even parting anything else out.

The lift, tires and the rest of the drivetrain are all worth some too.

If the rust isn't bad for that area, the price is good. If its a complete rust bucket like you typically find out there I'd be wanting to talk him down under $500 (closer to scrap price) as the truck market is in the toilet right now.

Look at the rust free suburban I have up on ebay right now... I had it up for sale for over a month with little to no bites at $1200. I put it on ebay and it finally got up to $1000 last night with 24 hours to go. This is for a rust free body in excellent condition, TBI 350, TH400, NP241.

A year ago I could have sold it 10 times over for $2000-2500.

OK, he ended up selling to someone else for $750! damn it...now looking for another one like it NATIONWIDE. If anyone knows one thats available for under $2000, let me know :) I'll ship it!!

find me a rust free k5 with a 350 in good running condition for anywhere close to that, and if I buy it, I will give you $100.:D

dont jump at the first one you find. i made that mistake too many times. i just bought a 86 rust free k5 with a 396bb sm465 and np205 and a ton of new parts on it out of tx for 1700, with shipping to maryland it was under 2400 total. found it on ebay, wow is it nice to crawl under a k5 and not be able to see inside the truck through the rust holes!!!

I know I know hahah...I just got excited when I saw how cheap the truck was for it's overall condition. I have already found a few more in the area. I had no clue there were so many in Jersey. surprising really.

$1000 needs tires:

And those are just the semi-local ones to me. Look at craigshelper.com to search more places at once (or nationwide).

The wealth of information is worth more than the admission.......

SO TRUE...I am easily tempted though hahaha

I need to sell one of my bikes so I can build this thing properly when I get it :(

Just try to line up someone to look at it in person before you buy anything... posting here for local help usually works.
