Griff's thread about nothing in particular.

It seems the votes are in,

Meet the Dirty Banana.

I hate my work computer. I can't see pictures you post. I can see them on my phone though. I'll check back in for the pictures.

I just got a phone call from the guy. He's decided he want's to give me cash instead.

Earlier this month I put a roof on both of this guy's shed, hauled in a spread gravel for a a driveway, parking area, and under his pole barn, and cleared about two dozen decent sized trees off his property.

We had agreed that he would give the truck in return for that, however now he says there is another guy who wants it and has offered him $3500, so now he's trying to give me $600 instead.

There was no true written contract either. :angry1:

Id tel him that youll have to invoice him for your time and materials north of 5k.. see what he says then.. no contract means jack.. verbal is just as binding..

Well, there were no material costs on my end, since he paid for the roofs and the gravel, technically I was just labor.

I ****ing hate this shit. I'm always the guy that lets people off for this kind of stuff.

Usually just because I hate pursuing it.

$600, eh?

I had a friend do that to me once. Cheated me out of a truck deal that probably would have turned a tidy profit. Completely ruined the friendship, I don't think we've ever spoken since. Not sure what options you have, but I do feel your pain.

Small claims court might be a decent choice, seeing that there's $2900 at stake. If it's even worth your time.
