Grill conversion

Oh yea, another question. I tried to email the guy who converted his grill to the 89-91 quad headlight style but the mail bounced. I had a question about that. My 83 GMC has four headlights already. Do I still need to rewire everything or can I just get the grill, bezels, & headlight/pk light bulbs and have it work? I'm assuming the 89-91 quads are halogen non-sealed beams.. rather then rewire can I just cut the sealed beam plug off and wire in the halogen plug?
