Apparently a 76 Chevy grille is impossible to find unless I want to spend a stupid amount of money on an original. Anyone know where I can find a reproduction?

Yeah, I have a '78 with a grill with no bowtie on it. Must be from LMC. Why! Why no bowtie? People are all, "is that a bronco or a blazer?"

That grille will not accept a bowtie. The #8 is for trucks with OEM grilles.
That is even funnier. Pointless for sure to me anyway. But i,m not restoring anything , just wrecking them.

I'm kickin around the idea of putting my own bowtie on it. Make it slightly bigger so it's an obvious home job.
That would be cool. Like i said previously, LMC,s way of finding stuff is goofy and pointless. And the oversize charge of $20.00 is fine until they ship both items in the same box and still charge $40.00.
I put 85 style bowties on all my trucks whether they fit or not lol. Just my preference on appearance.
Maybe Green Monster can get a no tag reproduction and say it,s the 2019 flow tie?

I'd take anything at this point. That's what is frustrating about LMC and NPD......their catalogs say 75-78 but when you look at the part numbers they only offer a grille for 77-78. I just ordered a cheap "billet" grille from Amazon for $65. I'll see what I get.
I do the same thing. Some of those places are a little complicated. Get something that works and call it good.
Those are hard to get like that. Nice.
