Grim discovery...eeeekkkk!!!

Well, I decided to pull the covers on my diffs, check the R&P, and change the fluid before I put the new 6.2 K5 on the road. I popped the front cover and something looked kind of funny; ring gear was really thin, so I spin the ring gear around to get the numbers off of it and what did I find.

Looks like I will be getting those one ton axles before I planned to. I was wondering why the truck was such a dog.

My Jimmy came with those same stupid 2.73's...they were one of the first things i junked on my truck!

I guess I got lucky. My 84 6.2 came with 3.73s and a rear factory locker.
