Grim or anyone.... A Bit more carb help please

It might just need two pumps to prime it good enough with the temps you have...
Set the notch around the middle of the two screws and try pumping it twice and see if it fires up.

Hey Rene - It fired up! I moved the choke back a bit, and it fired up. It was a bit choppy, so I took my trusty pen and slide in into the plate to open it up a bit more and that smoothed it out. Looks like I just need to do a fine tune now. Whatcha think? Which way does it sound like I need to go... clockwise or counter? Thanks for all your help. The test is to let it get cold again and see if it fires up on it's own. - Gary

If opening up the choke plate smoothed it out then I'd say turn it back a little more counterclockwise. Not too much though...maybe 1/8" of an inch and try it again.

Is the choke opening on it's own within 5 minutes or so? (maybe a little longer in the lower temps) By the time the temp guage starts to move the choke plate should be all the way open. If it does not open all the way it will kill your fuel mileage as well as run bad.
