So i got my front suspension done a few days ago (56's), got my new rims and tires mounted and put them on late last night. When i went to move it this morning it wouldnt move. it acted like the front brakes were on but the back ones were digging a hole in the rock. looked at the rims, they were catching on the calipers. I know this happens with dana 60s but i never had it happen on a 44. actually i installed 15s on my dana 60 and they didnt rub and didnt need any grinding. anyone ever experience this on a d44? found out somthing cool i didnt know before, my 14bff has a locker in it. dug me two nice holes trying to free up the front end.

you need to search a LOT more . very comon problem over the years.

thay do hit if you use more than 3.50-3.75 back spacing on a 44/10 bolt

and 60 front needs under 3.00 back spacing to not rub .

you must of had a good set of correct rims to not rub the 60 in your past project.

you will need little bit on tabs of backing plate were caliper sitis in there and bit of the top of the caliper then should be good to go . :thumb:

p.s. always free spin by hand a tire when its not a known combo that you are use to . you would have found this much faster .

Thanks for the info. I didn't even think to check because iv always ran 15s but they have been the same 15s on different axles. These wheels are new so they got me.
