Grinding \"ears\" off front driveshaft???

Can I grind off those little ears that limit the cv part?? I noticed there are two "ears" on the driveshaft and 2 more little ones in the cv part.

Yes you can....It is a common upgrade /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

It is also a written reccomendation in some lift kit instructions. With that kinda idiot liability (general population) I would think it is a safe mod.

Go for it. That was the only way I could get my front shaft to work. I ground them down to almost nothing and it works fine.

If you don't, it's going to break from binding, so if you're going to keep that shaft it'd likely be in your best interest to grind the stops off.
