I have a 93 suburban and get a terrible vibration and grinding noise that seems to come from the front in 2 wheel drive. If I drive in four wheel drive, the problem virtually dissapears. My 4 wheel drive was not working until after the noise and vibration got really bad, but now that it engages, as I said, I have very little problem as long as its in 4 wheel drive. I was thinking possibly a hub bearing or halfshaft. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
