Grinding Noise

I have a np208 transfer case up to a TH350 (with adapter) and IN PARK, while the engine is running I get this bad grinding noise.. I can clear as day hear it between the two.. (Its not the starter sticking--i checked that) What might it be..

Remember its in the "PARK" gear

I'd check the flex plate. Mine looked like this when I had that problem:

checked it and checked it for runout---runs smooth as glass
