Im swapped the engine on my 1990 5.7 blazer and have forgotten where the copper braided ground screwed into the firewall next to the a/c box goes to. Im pretty sure it goes to the 2nd bolt on the right side of the bellhousing but I dont want to be guessing with things like these. Can someone please shed some light or take a picture thanks guys. Also I looked on my 5.0 89 TBI in the firebird and the setup is different but the same braided ground in same area bolted to the back of the head

Any bolt on the engine is fine

Firewall ground is the back of the passenger side head, there's a bolt hole near the top of the head, but on the backside, facing the firewall.

But like Jek said, any engine bolt will do just fine, it's just a ground. You could make a 2 foot long cable and attach it to the front of the engine if you wanted.
