Hi all,

I’m running two red top Optima batteries, and an aftermarket AC Delco CS-144 200 amp alternator in my 90 Blazer. I added a “0” gauge primary wire from the alt to the primary starting battery, but I’m using the stock second battery hook up to the auxiliary battery. The primary battery is grounded to both the frame and end block as the aux battery is only grounded to the frame. Should I add a second ground from the aux battery to the eng block too? Also, I’ve been told that I should add a ground from the Alt to the frame. What do you all think I should do?

Thanks

Dan..

you should run a ground from the batteries to the radiator support like stock and a ground from the back of the block (3/8 bolt) to the firewall. this will also help with any interior electronics that are grounded to the body.
