grrr why won't you start?????

Excellent job

Now, I'm assuming the toasted small black wire by the dizzy was the problem with the no start, however, the broken negative cable on the battery, and the blown fuse make me think youve got a chain reaction going here.

Keep an eye on those wires, the negative cable was probably breaking down over time, causing high resistance and possibly a high current draw due to an arc, which would have blown the fuse. Not sure if that led to the damage on the dizzy wire, but its possible.

So just make sure you not only fixed the fuse and the small wire, if you havent fixed the battery wire you could have the same issue again.

wiring and electronics are never fun, be very proud of yourself for solving and fixing it.
