GRRRRRRRRRR...eBay buyer rant...

I emailed him twice and asked him to retract the negative. Waiting on his replies now. Since he's in Mississippi, probably won't hear back from him til tomorrow, that is, if he does reply back.

BTW, Pay Pal didn't show a phone number. Dammit.

I hate stupid n00bs like this on eBay......

ebay will get you his contact info which includes phone number

your listing was 100% correct in my eyes. and the only thing i find wrong with you is i never leave feedback till its left for me in sold items and also till i recive purchased items and make sure its all good.

i would link this page to him in a email and tell him that this chevy truck site is about the top if not top of the line on info and chevy trucks. then tell him that we all said it was 100% as listed and he had the problems. and for 35 bucks just eat it and chuck it up to experience.

Yep, lots of idiots on eBay. Very much part of the scene there.
I sold a qjet, listing title said qjet model xxxxxxx parts, pictures (multiple) showed it in parts, description said parts/pieces, so what's he do, he left neutral feedback saying "Carb came in parts?"

Uh...that's what it says, and that's what's depicted, idiot.

Well, at least he didn't neg me. I would have been real pissed.

UPDATE 2/15/07: Here is the dudes email address incase you guys want to have "fun" with him.

[email protected]

As of now, still no reply from him. I sent him another email with the link to this thread for his reading pleasure. I may as well kiss the retracting of the neg. feedback goodbye and eat it. Oh well, if I ever run across him someday.....

Email sent

that sucks... I have bought and sold on ebay... 188 positives and 2 negatives... now if people only left feedback for when I sold it to them....
I should be in the thousands....

but yeah your gonna have to get used to it....

as a buyer.. I find out how much shipping is.... if it is too much I dont buy or tell them..

cd's, books and stuff like that can be shipped media rate Dirt cheap....

as a seller... I disclose alot and always put sold as is... even if I show it working or anything... just cus people gripe... so get used to the sold as is too....

The guy is a moron, but you should not have put it out there for the whole world to see. Whenever I sell something I do not leave feedback until I receive it. I have had at least a dozen people buy something and never leave any. Oh well.

There are intelligent people that use Ebay. I dig deep into feedback if I am buying something that is not easy to return. I have also had auctions end where I never received contact from the winning bidder. nothing more annoying then selling something that ends at $2500 and having to wait 2 weeks to relist it because some jerk-off can't email me or call me and tell me he's an idiot and never intended to pay. Now if I don't like your feedback and you are bidding on something expensive I am selling I cancel their bid if they refuse to contact me.

sucks that you got burned on such a cheap part.

Are you sure this isn't someone who may already be a member or at least visitor of the site? I know there are a few guys from the area up there that may even know him.

I had a guy leave me a neg on Ebay for some RC car parts he claimed were "dirty, bent and beat up". Well I was super pissed cuz I pulled them from a brand new kit myself, then I found out my wife hadn't even mailed them yet! Then I totally blew it, I refunded him his damn money (since he didn't have the parts anyway, I still did) and went on my way. Ebay would do nothing about it though, worthless.

Oh man, I hope no one steps on your shoe laces in the mall.

It's one negative feedback. Not a big deal. Your response however is what will make it worse for you in the long run.
I check for negatives, but I also look at the response by the seller to see how they handled the situation.

If it was my auction, I would have done a few things differently, like not saying 14 bolt, th350, 454 etc.

Also, knowing that there are asshats running amuck, adding in a disclaimer that if they do not recognize the part in question and can't visually tell the difference between a 1/2 nut or a 9/16 they need to ask for measurements.

And putting his private info online out of anger is just plain wrong.

Calm down bro, you are still above 99 percent goodness, you'll do just fine in ebayland.
