How do I remove these metal clips with out messing. Up the circuit board on the back?

I squeeze them together and work one side out of the hole at a time. They will come out from the backside. Go slow and don't force it.
Just went through that. Took a long screwdriver and GENTLY popped one side out of the plastic, then the other. There's a notch in the clip that locks it in.
Get it free from the plastic, getting it out of the circuit board is easy.
Be careful not to pry against any plastic when taking the clips out. It's old and brittle.
