Guess how much my k10 weighs...

Ok sorry for taking so long to get back I've been outside working since the second I got home from work...

Well it looks like Raymos should play the lottery this weekend since he's on fire...

Actual weight of the k10 is 4,280lbs
The DMV took my good white copy and gave me the crappy yellow one so it's hard to read. I tried to darken it up a little but you get the idea. :)

I'm pretty happy with that considering I haven't even started working on the front of the truck... ditch the inner fender wells, maybe replace the hood/fenders with some glass and then see where we sit.

Anyways thanks for playing. :saweet:

AWESOME, and only 5 lbs off. Thats one sick truck you got there.

So what did i win?:D

what is the point of the DMV making you weigh the thing? dosnt make any sense to me.

We here in California must pay weight fees if the vehicle is registered as commercial (hard to get a truck registered non commercial anymore). My guess is that it was either an out of state vehicle and DMV requested a weight documentation be done or he wanted to reduce the fee byt letting DMV know that the vehicle weighs less now (weight fees are based on the weight of the truck).

I know you took the bed off, but I'm still surprised your truck weights that much. You could probably reach under 4000lbs if you do the fiberglass front end.

It's funny how picky they are down there. Here in Pullman when I transferred the title (from Oregon) she just told me to guess. I said 4500 but I think it ended up being closer to 4700 in actuality. Either way according to the DOL here it's the same price as long as it's under 6000 lbs.

75 Stepside last time I weighed it was a 4250.

at that time it had a a 377 with AFR heads 700r-4/NP 208 dana 44/12bolt ( with disc brakes) Full stock interior with A/C and cruise . aluminum rad, mag wheels and saddle tanks that were both damn near empty the bead floor is teak. and I no subs or amp then either .

Trucks pretty much the same now except for a NV4500, a semi float 14bolt out back, and 2 12" infinitys and a Alpine amp oh and I swapped in a 40 gallon subby tank and ditched the saddles.

I really thought with no bed his truck would be way lighter then mine

What are your spec?
Do you still even have the heater in there or do you wear heavy cloths while you drive it around?
Do you still have the carpet or floor mat?

My truck was 4250 before the NV4500 and SF 14bolt.

I figured his would be way lighter .

Well, I guess I needed to gut the interior to offset the weight of the Big Block. Without the hood and other stuff, I'm at same weight you pick-up guys.
It is kind of funny but with the top, tailgate, battery in the back, and a 10lb nitrous bottle (10 lbs. of nitrous plus the bottle for 25lb total), ten gallons of fuel, and no hood, my blazer weighed 4750. However, the weight was even front to rear. That with a Big Block!
Without the top, tailgate, class III hitch, rear seat, bumper brackets, and other stuff, I was able to lose 500lbs. The Blazer is now 9% heavier in the front.
