not sure on there laws but i never leave home without it
I have no clue any place that you could go shooting there... Other than for personal protection I don't think you would use it much.

If you want to bring your guns I doubt anybody will really care. I know that I don't.
Remember that out of sight is out of mind.
The problem is that the trail runs are not a good place to just stop and shoot for a bit. Most of these trails are going to be used by other groups etc. and just are not a good spot to shoot.
I can think of a few places that if a guy wanted to take a short detour to get away from the crowds he could to spend a little time shooting.
I really think that you will find that this is not really that kind of event.

I never go out of town without one or three. 
Moab is not a place where you can just shoot like mentioned. Bring it if you like, I don't think most of the people in our group would care much. I don't care if other people I wheel with have guns with them as long as they are being responsible with them.

bring your gun. i do every where i go. Just like what was allready said, it's really not the place to go shooting. Being responsible with them is a must like allways.
They could come in handy though...
Last year I was at Napa in town off main street and there were 2-3 hippies in there with there back packs telling me that there "car" is stuck in mud about 30 minutes away and they wanted me to go help pull them out. I told them my truck wasn't street legal plus I was due at the market to meet everyone in 5 minutes. I had a feeling they wanted to get me out there then kill me for running over some flowers and scratching the rocks with my truck...
