Guts from astro van box into C/K series box

I wonder if that would work? The reason I'm asking is because I'm conjuring up a crazy idea to move my axle foreward about 8" and there's no way my stock steering box will work with that. I'd need to reverse the pitman arm's throw and flip it 180* forward. :rolleyes: I dunno, but greater than 90* approach angle sounds super cool IMHO. :D


Yes, I could mount a pivot point on the passanger side frame rail and then run the drag link from that side but thas allotta work mang. :wink1:

I also don't feel like going hydro just yet, I still drive this pig on the streets. :D

I don't know how it works inside yet but I know my friend got a rebuilt drilled and tapped box from WTO and it worked the opposite direction so either it was the wrong model or they messed up the parts inside making it turn the oposite way.
SO I know it can be done.
Now I was already contemplating this a week ago, since when you flip the pitman arm it will drop lower and move forward but it will have to work the oposite direction unless you switch the arms backwards then you will need a standard box with the pitman flipped.
