guys that tow with a 6.0..

im going on a 950 mile round trip from Pa to ohio and back using a 04 chevy 2500hd with a 6.0 in it. i will be pulling an empty car hauler trailer on the way out and ill be hauling a 5000lb tractor on the way back. i was just woundering what kind of fuel milage i should expect to get. from what i understand, it should be somewhere around 12mpg empty and 10mpg with the tractor. this sound about right?

depends on your gearing and tire set up. mine with 410's and 265 and a 20 ft trailer and monte carlo gets 8 to 9.

2005 2500 6.0 4.10 rear stock tires towing a 35ft travel trailer gets right about 10mpgs

its not my truck, but its got alittle under 80k on it, stock tire size. i believe its 4.10s but not any lower than that. the trailer is around 18ft flat bed car hauler, the kind thats just two ramps for a car to sit on. its not very heavy, maybe 1500 lbs tops

you should get around 10 mpg

my 05 CC 4x4 2500hd with the 6.0, 4.10's and 265 tall tires got about 10-12 with my 5000 pound blazer on it and a 18ft trailer hauling from southwest oklahoma to laramie wyoming
