Thats awefully cheap..those run 20-30k easily even stripped down, no top, no doors models go for 15-20k.

Those seem to be coming up for sale alot more lately, Is the govt starting to unload some of the older ones now?
Damm, That has to be the wrong price. I think its missing a 1 in front of the 5. It that's the right price, and it was closer, I would buy that in a heartbeat!

if i recall there were a few that got out . but then the gov changed there minds and now all h1 have to be parted and scraped. i could be wrong tho.

All HMMWVs in current military possession are destroyed upon decommission. I don't recall when it went into effect though.

Most hatchbacks are considered 3 door. nothing abnormal there. I still think he is missing a 1 infront of the 5,000 or its a scam.
So one of my buddys has seriously been looking at buying one of those. He has found several for under 10k, a ton more for 10-15k even some nice ones. There are alot that are well over the 20k mark for sure.
He called a guy on one, had been for sale for over a year. On ebay 4 times guy had even payed to have an add in a national sales magazine. He started out at 25k is now down to 17k. It is a civilian wagon model whole top comes off. Got swampers on it chrome wheels with the CTIS etc etc etc. Its way nice I hope he buys it
Just saying they aren't worth as much as they were 5 years or even 3 years ago.

Why would they not sell some of them like the CUCV's? or do they kill large numbers of civilians yearly when used by criminals?????

That kinda makes sense, but nothing I couldnt do myself if I wanted either though.
If I remember right the military ones had no park select in the transmission. don't know if its there or not, thats one of the things that kept them from reselling them. The seats did not meet federal crash tests guidelines either. There is more but basically they were never meant for civilian use, so they got by without alot of the safety stuff we have to have
