I would imagine there are a few people out there that need the beadlock/runflat insert thingy for their h1 wheels. This guy on ebay is selling 100 of them for $50 total (i gather you could outfit 25 sets of wheels), but it's local pick up only. How many people are interested and is anyone near Tulsa, OK.

Says they are NIB, but do you have to worry about these things getting old? Anyways, thought there might be some interest: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/100-...ryZ42614QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

And i apologize if this is not in the right area or if i am violating some ck5 rules :D

I would buy a set and pick them up from someone when I go to OKC in april,
If someone were to buy this lot

I live about 3.5 hours away. If enough people are interested i might be able to make a trip out that way.

How heavy are these things for shipping ? for those that live far away

The label says 32# each:D. I would take a set of 5. Has anyone confirmed these are for the H1s? I have never seen the ones that look like that.

Just for those that do not know those are only for the 12b H1s. Installing the first one sucks, but once you know how they go quick.

Can you run the beadlock portion without the runflat? I would guess the runflat would act as a stiffener to the beadlock but I wonder if someone definitely knows?

Are you possitive on the 12bolt only? Ive understood they are interchangable. Only the 12bolts came with the rubber originally.

I have to admit that is only what I have read. I did not try to put the rubber runflats onto my 8 bolts when I had them apart.

OK this is what I know: The bias rim (8 bolt) originally came with the magnesium allow run flat/bead lock. The radial rim (12 bolt) came with the two piece rubber run flat/bead lock. After the radials tires and rims started getting popular there was a rubber two piece that was introduced for the BIAS tires (I remember getting a mis-shipment in). Later, the two piece radial RF/BL was replaced with the one piece rubber variant. There were a few other minor changes along the way; like the 12Bolt rims got thicker (max wt jumped from 3400 to 3800 IIRC) and such.

Now, I just checked the TM with those PN from Ebay. They are for the BIAS (manual says BIAS or RADIAL ) BUT they are listed for use with the 12Bolt radial rim. Will they work with the 8 bolt? I don't know, never tried it. Could you use two bead locks (instead of a run flat donut), maybe. The widths were similar but I never bothered to measure. If you were using a bogger with a thick carcass I would think you'd be shaving the beadlock anyway.:doah:

This info pertains only to the military (Army) HMMWV. I know the civvy H1 had a bunch of rims and runflats designs I never saw.

Hope this helps; My 12B H1s came with the 37" radials and the 2 pc rubber runflat. I didn't have to shave anything to mount my bias ply 39s. On mine the beadlock side was not as wide as the runflat side. It was not close enough to use two of the beadlock side, if that makes sense.

The thing about the using the rubber 2 pc with the 8b is the way the outers are made, the 8b is just a ring while the 12b is a whole rim half. Now I wish I had tried it while I had eveything apart.
