H1 rim problems?

Anyone running H1 rims been having problems with the outside bead? The reason i ask is i keep seeing these rings for them

I've seen a lot of people talk about peeling the beads back on them but I don't know if this means these wheels are "softer".

There are a couple more vendors on Pirate that offer others style of similar reinforcment plates as well as a simple piece of rebar that runs the inner circumfrence of the lip.

Just a theory here but the guys that are running them are wheeling hard and like any other steel wheel they will fold if wheeled hard enough. For most the rings are a preventative measure. For others yet the rings while adding function also give the wheel a little bit more of a look.

And for everyone that makes them, a profit point. Maybe they're needed and maybe they're made b/c they sell.

I think it is to protect the outer bolts from getting damaged while crawlin through rocks
