i know id be able to air down more with cutting the mags, but how much of a difference will that really make? with the stock mags will i be able to air down to 5psi or will i be limited to like 8-10 or something? i have nothing to use to cut them, thats why im asking :doah:. thanks

i thought there was something else people used. i remember everyone warning bout mag fires and what not.

i wasnt aware people were using sawzalls:o . alright, next question, are there any real advantages to cutting them? what kind of limitations will i see leaving the mags stock? is it really worth cutting them down?

are the lube packs available for the run flats?

they are only like 15% magnesium, good luck burning that... you can get alot more tire flex without the run flat in the way

oh alright cool thanks for clearing that up. with bigger tires (39-42) what psi limitations would there be with the runflats? i guess it seems like i should cut them down, im just trying to justify spending the time to cut them down vs. just mounting the tires with stock runflats:D

I only spent about 10 minutes on each run flat. It is pretty easy to cut them.

do you got pics of them all cut down? did you just use regular metal blades or some special blades?

thanks:bow:

Here you go. I used a long Lennox blade. It lasted through all 5 sets with no problems.

Dumb question - what's a Lennox blade? I've read about people using wood cutting blades but never heard the term/name Lennox.

I had 15 of them with lube pack's. Why are you curious they burn better with lube or what?

:haha::haha::haha::rotfl::rotfl::woot::woot:

I suppose if you were going to run the stock runflats and deflate your tires you'd want the lube.

I'd say cut them like readymix and not worry about it.;)
