Won't pass inspection, and I haaaaate the look of tires stuck outside the fender like a lowrider. :( Guess it's adapters for me. :D

last one is a mockup on the Blazer.

I don't get it. What doesn't pass insp? I'm assuming you're talking the state safety insp? Here, we're allowed 2 inches of tread outside the fender. I'm running 5" backspacing on 3/4 ton axles w/ 17x9s, so there is no tread outside my fenders anyway.

That sucks! Tape on some fender flairs for the afternoon to get it inspected...:haha:

Seeing those pics makes me miss living in Utah.

That really sucks! We don't have inspections her, it's just a problem if the cops hassle you. My Cherokee hangs about 4" of tire out of the severely cropped fenders, and I haven't even been talked to about it.:DThis condition wasn't a fashion statement, it was the only way I could clear 12.50s without rubbing. That and I can't stand flares.

If it looks ok w/the lift on, that's basically what I'm going to do: 4 screws to the inner fenders, and gimme my !@)($#&*#@ inspection certificate, thank you! :D

EDIT: UHP has got a pretty good hard-on about tire issues.

interesting... if you turn the tires straight... I dont see it sticking out much..

however you can go to home depot or lowes and get gardening trim and screw it to your fenders to get through inspection..

or buy fender flares....

That doesn't stick out enough to worry about, the the UHP seems to have slowed down abit on there enforcement of things like this I think its all about you attitude and how your truck looks. If you a good on the other things they they probably wont care like mudd flaps and stuff.
