hey guys, i got another question about my friends truck, ive seen a decent amount of pictures of 2001ish dodges with h2 rims, and the rims r 6.5x8 bolt pattern and his pattern is 170x8, i know 6.5 pattern wont work because we tried to bolt some on before. so how r people doing this, wheel spacer/conversions? or different year H2 rims?

Dodges have the same 8x6.5" pattern as GM's and older Fords. Only the '99+ Ford Super Duties have a different 8 lug pattern.

Sure you had the right rims?

H2 rims fit both my '86 K30, and my brother's '80 W300, and '92 W200HD... you might want to make sure they fit, after all the only work is lug nuts...

you have the right rims and the right lug pattern........don't sweat it.

You have to bore out the H2 center hole to 4.775" to fit the hubs on the Dodge.........now way around it you have to hog the center holes out.

like my old girl...........and you get 3rd gen center caps, trim back the skirt almost 1" and trim about 1/16th off each tin retainer. and voila you have dodge centers. looks factory

o cool, thanks. my friend actually found ur truck on google one day and thats what made him want some h2 rims.

where did you have to remove material...? actually, for which axle...? both of my brothers' dodges don't have any mods to the wheels... or is it because they're the older, pre '94 style...?

and that looks way cool with the stock dodge center caps...!

all 4 corners need to be hogged. and only for 2nd & 3rd gen trucks as far as I'm aware. excluding 1/2 tons. I don't know much about 1500s. but 60 fronts with unit bearings and D70/D80 rears all need H2 rim adjustments

the material you remove in from the center hole........make the center hole bigger. I used my die grinder to open up my 1st set with no ill effect. you can hole saw it with a 4.75" in a big drill press. or the fancy shmancy do it with a milling machine.

look close, see the material in the center hole. its radiused. you basically remove the radius lip. stud centric is more than good enough for these.
