h2 wheels and tires, gen 2 trucks? do they work?

the ads for them are all over ebay at really great prices...
how do they look on gen 2 trucks... do they have a weird offset.... are they metric? do they work?
35 bfgs and wheels for 600 or so (before shipping...which adds 175-200)sounds like a great deal

As far as I know the hubs on our trucks will not fit through those rims.

I have no idea about the lug pattern, it should be the same though, the H2 uses a 14SF in the rear.

Then again I could be wrong, just found this; Ebay

very nice looking service body rig... especially for the harshness of Alaska...have any fit problems with the wheels and tires?

The wheels and tires fit great. I am running a Skyjacker 4" lift. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
 
The specs on the H2 Wheels are:

By the looks of the trucks that have them installed, the extra inch (or so) of offset doesn't appear to be a problem. Anyone have any comments??


I've seen a bunch of these sell with tires (315/70r17 BFG AT's) for under $500 /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif.

I asked this on another forum and was told that you had to open up the holes 1/4 inch or less and they'll fit. I am very interested in doing this, so any further info is appreciated.
 
If you clean the rust off a 14 bolt ff hub they will fit with no modifications. The hole is for 3/4 ton GM's, so they fit like any other factory wheel on a 3/4 ton GM. I had my ford dana 60 front hubs turned down to match the 14 bolt OD, and now they work good on my ford axle too. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Have you got drums or disks on the 14bff? I remember hearing somewhere that the H2 rims don't clear the drums. Any idea if thats true or not??

a guy at work has a them on his diesle chevy.they look pretty sweet.he got them for a good deal also.rims and tires i think for 400 dollars.

You do not need to open up the center holes. ALL GM 8 lug wheels have the same size center holes.

13" drums. You heard wrong.
