Had a fun weekend.

Well i finally got to have some fun with my '78 this weekend. Sense i got it running i have put maybe 1000 miles on it. Well a few weeks ago my buddy got his truck stuck up on his property which is about 300 miles from where i had been keeping my truck. So we decided to go get my truck and take it to un stuck his truck. Didnt do a whole lot but its what i dream of doing every nite while i lie in bed waiting to fall asleep. im sure you know how it goes. So any way i just did a lot of cruising around out in the woods and got some good highway miles on too. Just a nice relaxing truck and mud filled weekend. any way here are some pics.

Kinda hard to tell but he had backed his front end into a stump and didnt have the ttraction to move forward so we had to run a pully and cable system to drag his rear end back onto the road (he was about to slide off the edge). then another one to drag him forward to clear the stump.

So once we got his pickup free we had to do some goofing around and and driving around.

So as you can see, nothing too hardcore but just a nice fun relaxing weekend. All the roads on his property were covered with about 2" of mud which didnt make for any real mud bogging but made for at least some fun and made inclines pretty interesting.

Definitely worth it. Friends, mud, and trucks I couldnt think of a better reason to go on a roadtrip

Precisely. And alsoI had been wanting to bring it back home here portland so i could work on it. I had been keeping it out at my cabin in Ukiah which is 250 miles away. So it was two birds with one stone but this way he helped pay for gas!
