so this morning i went out and tested my new brake lines and longer shocks to admire the flex. =] Worked great, the front with stock springs will now out flex the rear somehow. i had full droop on one side and my tire touching the inside of my fender on the drivers side.

Wellll got home and parked all cock eyed in my driveway with my front tire hanging off the side (which is a foot drop) and go inside. thats how ive always parked. Come out, hop in to go get gas and eat, start backing up and the wheel starts coming up the ledge, like usual, and then POP. Steering wheel spins to one side and the tire drops back down, i hear a tire rub and a nice CLUNK against the concrete.

Any guesses what happened?

Sounds like the lower ball joint let go......

Madness! Over torqued first maybe? Then the flexing fatigued it more? THen going over the ledge was just the last straw? How crazy. Good thing it happened in the driveway!

im on my 4th set at the shackle end. its time to upgrade to 9/16"

i drove to work one day, then later went to go get somthing out of it and notice my shackle was hangin down. i took a peek and found the upper bolt sheared off, and the inner shackle just kinda hangin there sayin "hi!"

Here's a couple pictures of the DIY4x part next to the stocker-

And all the new hardware along with some liquid refreshment from our brewing buddies across the pond-

No comparison at all...the DIY part is a great solution to this problem. I broke that tiny little 7/16's bolt on my truggy 2 or 3 times. The ability to use the bigger hardware/bushings is a huge upgrade.

I tried to find a picture that shows Kerts shackles with the spring eye hanger too, but this is as close as I have-

Get all the parts shown above and your spring eye bolt worries will go away. :)
