i had my intake manifold magnafluxed, and they found extremely tiny cracks across the secondary bores. the k5 is my "budget" 4x4, and i've already gone over said budget. so, i'd like to just use some jbweld or quicksteel to seal it up from the outside, instead of dropping a bunch of $$$ on a new manifold. my friend swears it will fail in a month, but i've seen both products hold up for years in much harsher situations. is this just too ghetto? the shop confirmed that the manifold is not warped or anything.

Not a problem. It's not uncommon at all to use epoxy type products to reshape intake runners in the performance world. Just be sure and prepare the surface carefully. ( rough it up a bit and SUPER clean )

I wouldn't do it, but then again I have to do everything the correct way the first time. I saves fustration, time and $$$ in the long run.
