Whatcha think? We're leaving the push button part of the door handle, the mirror and of course the speaker (:haha: ). I'm figuring this will save the trouble of having to come up with new ways of recreating all three features of the door.

Stupid? Ugly? Waste of time?

Very slick.:D You don't need my windshield, just take the window glass from both doors and glue it together in the middle, that should work.:haha::haha:

Id move the mirrors and speakers farther forward and cut more out. so far so good though:D

Or id put the mirrors on the fender and take out the vent wing too. then just leave enough room on the bottom corner of the door for a speaker.

I ask in all seriousness why move them farther forward? The way I see it is the purpose of the half door part is to lean out to see where to put the tires. As it is, I can lean out as far the seat belt will allow. Well and my tummy.

I just like the look of a bigger openings. it just looks weird small is all. I guess it serves its purpose though. As long as it work right?

I like the bigger openings too , just looks better but if it works why not.I like the doorless look also but my doors are power so the wiring would be a pita.I am planning on a softtop by next summer if not before and then I will be looking into buying a set of manual doors so I can yank em off without the hassle of the wires.

That's kind of what I was thinking. That and I always seem to shy away from doing exactly what everybody else does.

Well, that and I'm basically a lazy ass and don't want to do more work than is necessary.:haha:

i tried telling him this in person too, but he did the same thing, just argued back with me about it,,,but personally i would have made the openings alittle wider as well :p:

Maybe the narrow openings are motivation for him to narrow his tummy down...?:D:haha:

I think it will work dude. Add yourself a piece of tube steel in the hole at an angle. It will help the door hold structure, and help keep those pesky jumping rocks away:D

Oh, and keep a wetsuit handy for when the monsoons come :haha:

Yea I know Paul. Maybe just maybe this weekend we can swing by.

Oh and Fred I'll be fillin up the holes with sheetmetal very inexpertly welded by yours truly.
