Half Doors

See there was some talk recently about half doors. Just finished a set on my Sonoma. I used the same basic design as I did on my old fullsize too. Installed a inner latch so I can have a soft insert made to be able to snap in.

I don't have any good pics of linkage but just took the factory rod then cut it length and attached to the latch.

THe ones on the black truck were some kenworth latches we had laying around. The ones I used on the Sonoma are from napa and made for a toolbox type latch and has a striker to be the actual latch. They have a 1/4" threaded hole in the striker so I threaded in a eye bolt then hook the rod into that.

I thought about cup holders but thinking about it putting the drink out in the open sun isn't probably as good. I have a pair of bicycle water bottle holders mounted between the seats for drink holders.
