So recently ive developed this annoying squeak that sounds like its coming from my tranny/torque converter area. Only happens when the truck is warm and,at idle, in gear It is not noticeable while driving. Did a breif inspection today, flexplate is ok, bolts ate tight. I need to get my wife out to put it in drive with the brake on so I can get under it.

Any wisdom on what this could be? It is quite annoying. Th350 anf I have an aftermarket sfi flexplate. Trans shifts great.

Anither problem I had maybe related was when I was out wheelin and on a sidehill slightly downard I couldnt get my truck out of drive. I ciuld go d 2 1 but wouldnt shift past nutral because it was acting bound up. Had to put the t case in nuetral and get winched backward a ways to flat ground then it worked again.
:dunno:

it will increase with rpms a little, then goes away. The flexplate isnt cracked, i checked it a couple times. I will check again tommorow for good measure and try and get a vid up. Ive had a cracked flexplate before so i know what that sounds like, a tap tap tap. This is a squeeky wheel noise

Check all your motor/trans mounts. Something was twisted up enough to keep the shift linkage from working through it's range. If the mounts are gone something may not be sitting right causing a rub somewhere, but only in gear and with that idle 'frequency' or oscillation of the engine.

This happened in my sandrail once. Turned out to be an actual hampster.
