At work we had a guy bring in a 84 stepside shortbed truck on 52'' xlz's for 5.13 gears.. 10 bolts front and rear i laughed and ask my service managers if he was joking.. So it was geared and loaded back up with the dounuts on it. Well that was a bout a month ago. The owner rolled it off the trailer and blew up the 10 bolt rear. Guess what for some idiotic reason were(4wp) is replacing them under warranty. Also the front end was totally rebuilt when it left here.. it hasnt gone 5 miles and now need new baljoints.. If only people like this would learn.. and the salesmen up front had a clue as to what application they were selling the parts for.. FYI when it is put on a lift with the 52's still on it the axle housing actually appears to be bending downward.. And yes ofcousre he has blocks in the front and stock steering. The truck does look damn good though. I see if I can snap some pics tommrow while im at work. It got dropped of this afternoon for round 2.

No, its not pirate...But I will call someone when they put someone elses lives at risk. Also I didnt call him anything, I said anyone who does... By his own account he hasnt done it yet

Yeah, I read your post again and see how I took it wrong. The first time I thought you straight out called him a fokkin retard. My bad. And I agree, this guy shouldn't be putting anyone at risk, especially when he KNOWS hes gonna trash his axles with his proposed setup.

As far as his buddy building him some kind of crazy angle front shaft, ohhkayyyy.......

Let me clarify, Right now I am NOT running 54" tires or 49" tires. I have 38.5" tall.. Around here a dana 60 is very expensive and hard to find; rockwells are fine but again serious expense and mods to have them... Plus my 14BFF and front 10 bolt will be trussed for added strength.. Dont you all forget about older FOURWHEELER and Petersens 4wheel & Offroad (early 90's late 80's mags) everyone had 38's-44's on dana 44, 10 bolts etc. even if they were sho and shine..call me nuts if you want but some of us dont have DEEP pockets or sponsors.. We use what weve got-this isnt te south or west, this is NEW ENGLAND sh*t is more expensive..

Found a dana 60 front end out of a chevy $700-needed king pins, spindles, brakes, rust removal (major rust)
$700 aint cheap for me

54's are a whole lot bigger than 44's, and you think N.E. is expensive? Come on out to Cali.
