Harbor Freight Hi-Lifts?

I guess I'm going to go against the grain a bit. I used to have a 48" HF Farm Jack (technically I still do, it just doesn't work). I now have a 60" HighLift. I used it for one wheeling trip before something bent and now the pins won't engage right. Was it my fault? Probably, but my High Lift still works like new and I probably use it wrong too. Quality issues aside, if you have a need for a high lift, then you have a need for the tall one (and I'm pretty sure HF only goes up to 48").

My question is does anyone know how they compare?

I have a Hi-lift and a cheap imitation one. there is no comparison. the cheap one works, but not well. especially going down, thats an adventure. the hi-lift works like it is supposed to, every time. side by side you can see the differences. spend the money once, not twice. I bought the hi-lift because I bent the cheap one.

My Hi-Lift is brand new and I used it maybe twice, and it won't go down for nothin'. It's a pain but if it's all I got I use it.

I've bent the pins in both sized high lifts.

WD-40 is a must for hi-lifts if you are using them in any kind of dirty or muddy conditions. If you're working with a hi-lift then I definitely suggest having a can of WD-40 right there. They are dangerous enough without having to worry about them working improperly.

Yeah my friend was trying to jack his Jeep up one time and the Hi-Lift got jammed up and the handle came up and gave him a nice pop to the side of the face. Luckily the kid could take a punch, it probably would've knocked me out.
