I saw some things I want to buy from harbour freight when I have the money.
I would order via phone or internet.

My questions are:
Do they ship to canada? If they did, would they ship from a large store, or the closest store to me that has the items I want? Shipping will suck though.

Secondly, does this bandsaw tilt? Or is it just 90* cuts?

Thanks

Doesn't look like they ship to the GWN. You can call them and ask, but all I saw on the web page was mention of AK, HI, PR and the assorted territories outside the CONUS. (Umm, anything other than the 48 CONtinental United Staes, is what that means for our northern brethren :) )

They ship from Camarillo, CA, or one of the other warehouses, not from the local store. However, they charge flat-fee shipping (i.e. this many dollars == this much to ship), rather than actual cost, which can work to your advantage if you're a great distance.

HTH.

Okay I may have to call them. I could always talk someone close to me into sending me one, before I pay them...muahaha

Wow I never knew you lived in Canada, let alone B.C. I thought you lived in the U.S. :eek1:

I live at the opposite end of B.C., 1 hour from the American boarder, and 1 hour from the Alberta boarder. Cranbrook, to be exact.

Anyways, I like the KING one from KMS better because it has horizontal and vert. cutting, which I think would be handy.

Thanks

Also, since you live at where the main store for KMS is, do you think the other stores, like the one in Kamloops (closer to me) would have most of the items too? Or just major things?

I'm just outside Vancouver in Coquitlam. For some reason thought you were in the Lower Mainland also.

Princess Auto will ship. I see it for $269 on page 172 of their catalog.

hey you beat me too it.

Harbor fright seems to be just like princess auto, cheap stuff for fairly inexpencive prices'

i used a grinder from princess one a job site last week (NOT MINE) and it was just out of the box, 3 min flat burned out there powerfist brand kinda suck for power tools, but have a good selection of and and auto tools that seem to stand up to the job.

Is the bandsaw from Princess auto worth it then? Or will it die like that grinder did?

IMO it is *identical* to the HF bandsaw short of the paint job.
