It has been a while since I have been on the forum, but I need some help. I need the metal brackets for the hardtop (72 K5 double wall top) where it fastens to the bed at the rear. I cant find any in catalogs and would appreciate any help. If anyone can post some good pics of the bracket and hatch supports it would help alot. I may fab myself if I can get some good pics.

Are you sure your top is double wall.. I thought in 72 it was all single wall.. I may be wrong.. I have a single wall top.

Anyway I can loan you the pieces as long as you ship them back ina reasonable amount of time.

You may want to put a post up in the WTB Classifieds.

My double wall top has the brackets your referring to and it's a '72. I don't know off-hand where you can get them but I'll check around. IIRC they aren't that crazy of a design and maybe with some good pics you could make them?

No reason pics sounded like a good idea, that's what you asked for... I'll get some tonight.

By a stroke of luck, I have an extra set of those rear brackets I can make you a deal on. PM me for info.

My '72 has the double wall top but it didn't have those brackets when I got it. That's probably why my hatch is all broken up. I'll need to find or fab a set too.

I've got a problem with the lower bolt that goes into the bedside on mine. On one side the threaded sleeve on the inside of the bed rail has broken loose, and just spins with the bolt. I can't seem to get my needle nose vise grips in there to get the bolt out. any suggestions?

I dont recall what material the bushing is made of but if metal can you tack or spot weld a corner?
