I "own" one and I don't think GM has ever made them (maybe a dealership thing). Mine came with a bizarre orange grill, 3/4 ton 2.5" spring lift on 1/2 ton axles with quad shocks in the front, and a distinctive Harley Davidson gold fender badge where the stock "K5 blazer" badge is supposed to be. So my question to all is: have others seen something like this? or do I own a "one of a kind"? Im a newbe to CK5 and I figured this would be a decent topic to ponder over...

Lots of packages out there but I've never heard of an HD package, I'd bet it's something and individual did. What year? Pics?

definitely need pics.you have to get 15 posts first i believe to put them on here.i thought only ford did the harley davidson package on their f150s.

Wow I stirred the pot on this one, will buying a membership entitle me to insta-pic posts rather than having to post x amount of times? btw it's a 1991 blazer with the silverado package.

Yep, ferd did it. My neighbor has one that he is real proud of. It's just a painted up 1/2 ton.

sounds like someone took the badges off a f150 and put them on a lifted k5. is that the only difference?

the supercharged HD's are pretty sweet for ferds

My guess is that a dealership did it, the grill however is a different story, it looks to be mold injected with actual orange plastic, it also has painted pinstripes under sticker pinstripes:doah:. The truck is fully loaded with power windows locks and mirrors (typical of the years 90-91?) and the PO couldn't have found and stuck a HD badge on the side, never less a lift kit too...all based on the fact of his beautiful stereo wiring and tow package wiring, he loved that electrical tape and house conduit.

This is something I never understood. What do motorcycles have to do with loaded luxo pickups?

Looks to me like someone painted the factory grill and put some stickers on it. I have never heard of chevy doing an HD package.

The headlight bezels look painted but the mid section looks to be mold injected in an orange colored plastic, there are painted pinstripes under the sticker pinstripes in the same color configuration, i can't tell you where the gold HD badges came from:dunno: The previous owner stated that he purchased it from a dealership down in Utah that way (excluding the CB, light bar, sliders, and obviously the stickers on the shell)

Just to make this clear, I'm not trying to stress the fact whether Chevy made an HD package or not, but I am wondering if anyone has seen something this bizarre? btw I had one of our local mechanics at our Chevy dealership in town run the vin# and it came back as a black blazer with a silver grill so that narrows it down to a dealership exclusive...

Take a picture of the HD sticker and post it. I think i have the same sticker, but i need to see a better picture to be sure.
