???? Has anyone ever made a aftermarket snorkel for a 80 blazer???

I think there is a Land Rover application from ARB that will work. this has been brought up a few times. Have you tried a search?

No, its for an 80 series Landcruiser. I think a few people have used them.

as a matter of fact yes I did a search and it brings the post on the garage forum about someones air ram and on taller breathers

What kind of snorkel are you talking about? The external kind that has a tube that goes up the side of the cab?
I have seen bunch of posts for people looking for those and none saying they found one /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Someone here had made one from PVC pipe, but I can't remember who.

Try searching more than one forum next time.... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I have been playing around with the idea of making a Hummer style air intake. From the water proof air cleaner a flextube would go to a 4" PVC tube that would be somehow bolted to the hood and going up through the hood. Then finish of the top of the PVC tube like it is on a Hummer. When not in use the PVC tube could be pulled out and a little cover with a rubber seal and maybe 3 wing nuts could be made to bolt on the hood to close the hole. I guess it would be placed on the passenger side of the hood not too close to the windshield so that the tube won't hit the windshield when you open the hood. What do you guys think? /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

I know somewhere here, Somebody even posted the ARB part number that worked. I couldnt find it either. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
But I do believe it was for a FJ80 landcruiser or something like that.

Ok! I found it. Its part # SS81HF and it is for and 80 series Landcruiser. It used to be part #SS80HF but they cahnged something or other. I found a link too.

Snorkel

Hope this helps. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

How about some type of shaker hood scoop that could be extended (with a removable extension tube)for those wet dips. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It was Nitro and his big blue parts-eating blazer. From what I can remember, he used 4" thin wall PVC and a 45 degree elbow. He used dryer vent tubing or something like that for the flexible part inside the engine compartment. It looks damn good on his truck too. Might want to send him a PM.

I totally know there is many posts about this. I have answered most of them myself. Here is a pic of mine.

Be sure to set a good time frame on the search. The software (stupidly) defaults to only looking back 1 week! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
