I want to paint my grille black (all three pieces). How can I remove the chrome. It doesnt look like paint would stick to it. Has anyone done this? Is there any place that sells grille pieces that are unpainted and unchromed? thanks for any help.

Andy

you dont have to i just did the same thing by lightly sanding the pieces then primer and paint. check it out.

i painted every bit of chrome on the truck that couldnt be taken off. the mirrors, trim around the turn signals, the chome part of the body molding on the side, and the trim around the rear windows. the bumpers should be coming off soon so i didnt bother with them.
