I think they are something like 60" with weight on them

I'm probably going to try some out soon

With weight on them? Spring length shouldnt change with or without weight.

Springs are springs theres really no reason that any 2.5in spring is better than another. The only factor in performance is weight and how you put them together.

Springs get shorter and longer as they move, hence the shackle

but I think they are 2.5" width

I haven't seen them yet

If they aren't that would suck

Common misconception that really confused me at first. The horizontal length changes, the total length of the main leaf spring never changes. A 60" spring is 60" long just arched with no weight hence it seems shorter because some of its length is achieving the arch. Its just an illusion.

If you have a flexible 12" ruler and you bend it into an arch do you now have a shorter ruler?

Well yeah it stays the same length in that aspect

But that doesn't really mean anything

How do you figure thats how you measure spring length...

I'm just saying the length with weight isnt a relative point as to whether they are good or not.

They are 2.5in wide pretty damn long leaf springs from a regular non commercial pickup truck. The only thing that will make them shine is how you assemble the pack. The main leaf definately has potential seeing as how 52's can flex pretty well.

My only point is that its a 60inch spring. So your halfway between a 56 and a 64. Build it light (IE less additional springs) and it will flex well. Less springs = more flex but you always have to find the happy medium with support, flexing, axle wrap etc.

I run 56in rears from a regular 3/4ton truck with every other leaf removed.
