...buying a truck that someone has buried in their backyard? Is that a crazy question? I ask because there is an area of town where there are a lot of 70's trucks sitting in people's yards rotting away and I found one I'm interested in.

Is there a certain way to approach such situations? Am I making any sense? haha. I hope you guys can help. I'll try to explain more if need be.

Those kinds of people are collectors and they usually love there trucks. Best way that I have found is just be honest and tell them you are in interested in buying the truck and restoring it. Half the time they will sell the truck if your going to fix it up and take care of it. I wouldn't mention this site or the crazy stuff that goes on in here. :thumb:

Just knock on the door and ask, just make sure to be polite.

If its a meth house in the ghetto or something Id avoid it, but if Mr Smith cant operate the clutch anymore due to age its worth a shot.

Just beware its probably still there for a reason, theyre going to fix it someday, or they saw one on a TV car auction that was identical... except it was restored and not a ****box, sell for 25 grand so theirs is worth that too...etc.

haha, didn't even stir Tempe into the mix

get us some pictures of ppls backyards hehe :)
