And as far as off road i have seen em crab walk ot of ruts after getting stuck.

MEPR, you have confused Quadrasteer (a brand name) with some other form of 4-wheel steering. Probably a custom full-hydraulic setup. For the Q-steer to "crabwalk" means that front and rear wheels turn in phase. This is programmed to only happen at high speeds. At low speeds, the wheels turn out of phase to reduce turning radius (when the fronts turn left, the rears turn right). If all four wheels are spinning fast enough to "trick" the controller into turning in-phase, that is hardly "walking" out of ruts anyway.

Yeah, it would take a very expensive setup like those used on all terrain forklifts when you can just flip a switch and go from radius reducing wheel turn to phase turn... you can crab walk out of ANYTHING with a "pettibone" since it also has cab levelling ability, which keeps the center of gravity exactly centered over the axles no matter what angle the axles are sitting at... it's a wonderful thing.

theres a mode where you can point both axles in the same direction, hence "crabbing" and the rear axle turns up to 15* i think. It enough to make a diference. It was on a late 90s early 00s body style so i thought it was factory...
