have promblem

my 73 k20 350/sm465/205 is dying when i drive it. It spits and sputters when i let the cluch out all the way and start to give it gas and it back fires alot.When its in nuetral i can give it gas and its completly why.

Try to explain a little better and more clearly. From what I can decipher, it is backfiring under load and it revs out fine when in neutral or under no load. I would suspect an electrical component breaking down.

I had a similar problem. It was a carb that was too lean under load.
