Having problems getting correct alternator

Ive got a 1985 6.2 suburban, and ive been back and forth to kragen getting different alternators for my burb. They all seem to be too big as now it sticks out too far and the bottom bolt wont reach the part where it attaches and the fan hits the cooling blades on the alternator itself. LMC truck wants 300 bucks for a high amp alternator, but i just want the stock one....anyone have any suggestions??

Might post up the part numbers they're giving you. Kragen (as partsamerica.com) lists a half dozen flavors, in 140mm and 150mm cases (5 1/2" and 5 7/8" diameter).
