HD44 8 lug hub swap

I found i have hd44 8 lug hubs and spindles for my swap, so far i learned i need flange style lock outs, and now the hubs rub on the spindle studs. I am trying to convert a 10 bolt six lug to eight lug. I ground down the studs until they were at the nuts. The fit is better but still rub and hub is loose. Is there supposed to be a gasket or spacer between the spindle and the mount. If anyone has any insight it would be great. For anyone do a disc swap on a 14 bolt the Ruffstuff brackets were perfect, no spacers and great fit.
