Just thought I would share one of the latest upgardes with everyone! For the low low price of $300! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif It took almost all of the vibrations out of my truck! Thanks to Mudzer (Neil) for helping me make this happen! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Wow. We've achieved what a stock f/s Bronco has. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

HEY! I paid good money for this, and the results are great. It took all the drive train vibes out, COMPLETELY. Stock Broncos? To hell with Broncos... they don't call this place colorado**K5**.com for nothing! "/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif"

so is that what we are looking at?
stock Ford driveshaft?
seems to stick out a looong way on the outputshaft

I'm surprised nobody knows this /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

78-79 Bronco has a CV front and rear driveshaft - STOCK!

If I remember correctly, the 205 uses a 1330 front yoke with a manual trans, and 1310 with the auto. The rear is 1330 either way.

I would be more surprised if anyone here -CARES- about what driveshafts ford used on -STOCK- bronco's.

Well we could care if we could find a ford worth striping parts off... {my CJ-7 has AMC, Dodge, Ford, Chevy parts as well as a few of my own design & fabrication} anything that will make our 4wd's work better & save us a buck or two as well gets my nod of aproval /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Looks good Dan. I will tell Dr. Shaft he did a good job!

Yeah, the Frod Bronco had a CV shaft in the rear - thats where we got the part numbers for this application. I don't think Dan was trying to invent the light bulb when he posted this, he was just excited about getting shafted! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I thought chicks liked those vibrating shafts? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

Well we could care if we could find a ford worth striping parts off...

My point exactly /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

Not trying to ruffle any feathers. Just seems like there's shops out there cashing in on little-known interchangeable parts. We're all on a budget, right? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Already here lots of you guys are using ford parts:
the 205 for the doubler?
/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
I will always go with what works and is cheaper for me.
That is why I chose the GM platform, because most of their parts are cheap and available: engine, tranny, axles etc, but Ford 9" is a great axle, and the 205 is the stringest I guess.
I also might hijack a front coil suspension setup from a 2wd van to setup a nice coil suspension on my GM.

I read where it was an idea but I didnt realize people were actually doing the swap. I didnt even realize he had the ford yoke...shows what I know.
