He must take this off road...

oh, another thing... dont post a Ford on a GM website and expect us to all cheer as the pictures load. :surepal:

What is this suppose to mean?

Brenton

It means that while most here are tolerent of postings about other brands, this site is foremost a GM oriented site.

I have a question for you guys. Why is it everytime there is a bad a** show truck, you guys rip it apart? Who cares what the he** the wheel base is. Obviously he didn't plan on wheeling it anyhow. How about you guys support other people's dreams and not criticize their work. Just because his idea of fun isn't rockcrawling or mudding, don't trash talk a bad a** truck. Sounds like we have some jealousy issues. Let's be supportive on CK5. Thanks.

P.S.- Nice truck somebody built!:D

Im with you on this. I see you only have a little over a hundred posts, get used to it. I am one who loves the big a$$ show trucks, and they always have to get knocked. Yeah its a ford, but its still really trick. Who cares if the wheelbase is ridiclous, your not gonna buy it and drive it, and its not like the dudes from CA where every freaking parking space is COMPACT. You guys say its a waste of a Dana 80, 70 and this and that, but if it were on a 8.8" and 44, youd still knock it. I dont see where you can say its nowhere near well built? Yeah im sure the cabs just falling apart. Oh and I liked it better with 44s on it too!:D

those are the same black leather seats that are in my '01 Ram cummins.

Thats what he was refering to.

We all know you have a Cummins under the hood, no need to say it every time you mention your Dodge.:)

I applaud your enthusiasm to stick up for what you like and I do agree with you but.... this is not a site where you are going to get hardly anyone to like trucks like that, and even less anyone to see it your way. Believe me, I've got in so many retarded arguments when certain people think they have so much better stuff that is worth $15K and climbs rocks every other weekend than something that is worth $60K and takes home trophies every other weekend. "Any lifted truck that doesn't get wheeled is a POS"... some folks live by that when it comes to this sport. Don't get me wrong thats fine, eveyone is intitled to their way of thinking.

Don't waste your typing skills with arguing with these guys about a truck like that because it's one or two vs. TONS of members that don't like trucks like that.

That truck may be long but hook a chain to ANY truck here and it will drag it backwards in the mall parking lot, Hollister, or any other place. I'm not a fan of the paint job, I'm more of a solid color or maybe two tone at the most but I did appreciate the time and work done to that frame. Seems like a fairly solid truck to me, a monster big block, gear driven t-case, D70/D80 axles, big driveshafts, and even driveshaft loops! I'm sure it would kill at the truck pulls. I'm sure it rides like a buck board, but who cares....it's a lifted truck. Like i said earlier, I hate the wheel and tire combo and would have kept the 44's and 16.5x14 welds, the 49's look stupid.

:surepal: Give me a break...there are LOTS of people on here who drive other rigs besides GM ones. This website has always been GM biased, but it also used to be about wheeling and trucks in general.

And I agree with K5MONSTERCHEV, if it was on half ton axles everyone would be knocking it for having huge tires and weak axles.

I think that truck used to cruise around the Miami University campus in Oxford Ohio. It not then there are two of those things out there! I know its not practical but I liked it anyway. A real head turner and the chicks loved it!

i don't necessarily dislike show trucks, i like well built truck, show or wheelers.

this one is kinda well built but needs to rethink some areas like the 6" steering block, the pan hard bar (you don't need it with leaf spring) at least put it going the other way, loose 2/3 of the shocks (you only need 1 per wheel), the rear hitch i woundn't put any trailer on. the rear blocks are acceptial, but loose them any way.

At least this one has a front driveshaft :waytogo: Its kind of cool for a show truck, you have to remember show trucks are not even close to "wheeling" trucks.

I have seen this truck in person. It's actually kinda cool to look at. I got underneith it and looked for the welds on the frame. Honestly, I couldn't find them anywhere. Whoever lengthened that frame did a good job.

What the guy says about the 528 CID big block is 100% true. I watched him pull the sled with it, his front tires got to hopping, and it bent that hack job of a tie rod, panhard rod, and drag link all to hell.

It's also kinda cool to see something different as far as a show truck goes, you don't see too many 6 door crew cabs out there. This one took some thought and work and isn't just another H2 with a huge lift and tires, lots of chrome, and a crazy paint job.

As wheelers we see things that we would change, but I can say that about my own truck and a lot of it is based on experience and learning as I go. I have yet to really seen one done "perfect" in all respects, why, probably because it costs a ton of money and it becomes a good enough for the job kind of thing.
