How much power can be gained from a basic pocket porting job on a stock set of 305 heads. I was gonna go with vortec heads but I think I can get the power I'm looking for out of a port job, cam, and intake manifold.
Also what size carb would you recommend for a 260hp 305? Would a single barrel 500cfm q-jet be enough?
